Research on the Influence of Perspective Angle on Document Image Correction Results

Because of the obliquity and rotation between the camera imaging plane and the paper plane, the document image taken by mobile phone presents the phenomenon of irregular quadrilateral perspective distortion, which affects the accuracy of optical character recognition. In order to eliminate this kind of distortion, based on the original image, a perspective correction algorithm with high resolution is studied by using the principle of spatial mapping transformation and bilinear interpolation. The experimental results show that the proposed method still has a good correction ability for images with large deformation angles, allowing the maximum perspective angle to be 75 degrees. And the high quality image correction results can be obtained by using this method, the recovery rate of the perspective image can reach 98. The practical application shows that the method is simple, practical, convenient and reliable.
