Research on MTPA control of IPMSM Drive Using Online Parameter Identification Method

To improve efficiency of interior permanent-magnet synchronous motor (IPMSM) drives, this paper presents the online parameter identification method based on the maximum torque per ampere (MTPA) control. The d- and q-axes inductances and permanent magnet flux linkage of the motor are accurately identified by model reference adaptive algorithm. In a speed servo control system, the proposed adaptive MTPA control with model reference adaptive algorithm is demonstrated. In order to verify the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm, some studies have been carried out.
