Wind farm cluster scheduling optimization model from the perspective of wide-area interconnection

Wind energy is increasingly used as a clean energy source in power systems. In this paper, considering the uncertainty of wind power generation and unplanned shutdown of units due to failure, the expected energy not supplied (EENS) reliability index is established. Based on EENS reliability index, the polygonal region-by-region timing power outage scheme is formulated to determine the minimum required reserve capacity of the system. This paper analyzes the impact of wind power and load uncertainty on the system reserve capacity and establishes an economic scheduling model including the start-up and shutdown costs of wind power and carbon emission rights trading. The relationship among system operation cost, wind power output, and carbon trading price is studied, and the influence of carbon emission trading and EENS index on power system is analyzed. Finally, combined with the system simulation of 10 units, the correctness of the proposed model is verified.
