Method for Improving Mass and Dimension Indicators of Two-Channel Three-Phase Voltage Source Inverter

One of the easiest ways to improve the quality of the output voltage of three-phase voltage source inverters (3PVSI) while increasing their power capabilities is using the principle of multichannel conversion (MCC) in their structural-algorithmic synthesis. (1), which significantly worsens the mass and dimension indicators of the 3PVSI. This paper shows that in a two-channel version this disadvantage can be significantly mitigated. In this case, the algorithm for generating the output voltage remains the same and due to the purposeful modification of the algorithms for operation the switches at certain intervals (in the presence of voltage on the TF windings), they are transferred to a higher frequency operating mode. The method of calculating the overall power of the transfilter is presented. As a means of studying new operating modes, computer simulation and methods for calculating the mass of transformers and transfilters are used. It is shown that by increasing the operating frequency of the transfilter, its mass and dimension indicators are improved.
