Temperature Field Modeling Technique of a Thermoelectric Generator, Taking in Account Parasitic Internal Sources

This paper is devoted to the problem of taking into account internal thermal processes of thermoelectric generator (TEG) in temperature field modeling. TEG include several number of modules, which have a complex structure with a large number of small internal sources of different capacities, and to describe them in a model the direct mathematical modeling approach is need. But because of the complex multi-level structure of TEG, it is not always possible to implement this approach. The paper presents a methodology for the temperature field calculating in a TEG, which allows to implement this approach and to take into account the influence of thermal processes in TEG. The technique also simplifies TEG design description in the computational domain.
