Automatic fairing Algorithm for B-Spline Curves Based on Particle Swarm Optimization

In this paper, a B-Spline curve fairing algorithm considering both curve fairness and curve error is proposed. A new control point adjustment strategy is proposed, which preprocesses the bad points and bad areas on the curve to ensure that the curve has no redundant inflection points. In the particle swarm optimization algorithm, the error accuracy is taken as the constraint condition, the flight space of the particles in the population is limited, and the proposed fairness measure is used as the objective function to update the population iteratively. An example is given to illustrate the effectiveness of the curve fairing algorithm in this paper.
