A Detailed Review on Intelligent Maximum Power Point Tracking Algorithms

This research work presents a comprehensive study about the intelligent maximum power point tracking (MPPT) method. The drawbacks of the conventional methods like perturb and observation method, incremental conductance method have low performance, less efficiency, high response time, slow tracking speed, less output voltage, and power, it is very stubborn to track maximum power from photovoltaic module (PV) due to multiple peaks during partial shading, to overcome the issues and challenges of conventional method, the advanced methods such as Artificial neural network, Fuzzy logic scheme and hybrid methods are implemented. Using MATLAB Simulink various algorithms are compared, fuzzy logic control, and ANN is proposed to provide better performance and reduce the tracking speed and power loss at the output.
