Compact Micro Strip Fed Koch Fractal Monopole Loop Antenna For Multiband Performance

A compact Koch fractal monopole loop antenna with 50Ω micro strip feed for multiband application is presented. The proposed antenna is designed on duroid 5880 substrate with the dimensions of Lsub 57 mm x Wsub x 49 mm x h 1.6 mm with the ground slit of dimensions L1 5.5 mm x W1 4.92 mm and 1.62 GHz - 2.53 GHz (910MHz), 4.72 GHz - 6GHz (1280MHz) and 8.4 GHz - 10.45 GHz 2050MHz suitable for DCS/PCS/UMTS, IEEE 802.11, Radio navigation respectively. The proposed antenna exhibits good return loss in the simulation and the symmetrical geometric structure of the antenna provides Omni directional radiation patterns.
