Design and Experimental Study of Traveling Wave Positioning System Based on TMR

The traditional fault traveling wave positioning method requires the installation of traveling wave positioning devices at both ends of the line. The installation cost is high, and the reliability of the device also has a great influence on the positioning accuracy. The system is proposed by replacing the power distribution transformer core grounding wire with the capacitor at the end of the line in this paper. The fault traveling wave signal is extracted at specific collection points. The problems of small signal and interference caused by the multi-branch topology of the distribution network is effectively solved by the TMR magnetic sensor module. The traveling wave positioning system combined by the TMR magnetic sensor is used for matching. The detection and location of the lightning strike fault of the grid overhead line is improved by the optimized signal extraction unit and the signal recognition algorithm which has obvious significance in engineering.
