A GaAs-Based Bandpass Filter with Tiny Size and High-Order Quasi-Elliptic Function Response

In order to investigate the application ability of GaAs-Integrated Passive Device (IPD) technology in high performance bandpass-filter (BPF), a tiny size BPF with the excellent high-order quasi-elliptic function response is designed and fabricated for the applications of S-band wireless RF system. The size of the proposed filter is 1.8 mm×1.1 mm×0.1 mm. From the measurement result, the center frequency is 2.88 GHz, the rejection around the center frequency is more than 50 dB, and the ultra-wide stopband with about 30 dB attenuation can range from 3.38 GHz to 38.7 GHz (1.18f
