Phase-frequency Characteristics of Electromagnetic Wave in a Magnetized Inhomogeneous Plasma

The communication of hypersonic vehicles will be affected by the magnetized inhomogeneous plasma on their surface. Therefore, the phase-frequency characteristics of electromagnetic(EM) wave in the magnetization plasma with inhomogeneous electron density and collision frequency are studied. The influence of magnetic field strength, electron density, and polarization direction on phase shift parameters are numerically simulated. The results show these plasma parameters have a significant impact on the phase-frequency characteristics.
