Predicting characteristics of self-similar traffic

The problem of predicting self-similar traffic with a significant number of pulsations and the property of long-term dependence is considered. Using extrapolation and spline-approximation methods, the results of predicting self-similar traffic were obtained. This will allow to provide the required volume of buffer devices and thereby avoid overloads in the network.
