Dual-band Monopole Antenna with Modified L-Shape for WLAN Applications

In the present work, dual band monopole antenna with modified inverted L-shape for WLAN (5.5GHz) and Bluetooth (2.4GHz) applications. Modified inverted L -shape is designed on a patch. This modified inverted L-shape will give the required bandwidth with good return loss and gain. The area of patch is 3.5×17mm

, The simulated results shows that the designed antenna work on dual band from (2.2-3GHz) and (5.5-6.0GHz) with the center operating frequency at around 2.5GHz and 5.57 GHz having reflection coefficient less than -10dB with maximum gain about 4.8 dB.
