A Real Time Implementation of Hierarchical Routing Protocol for IoT based Wireless Sensor Network

Numerous Routing Protocol designs for multi-hop wireless sensor networks proposed in literature are modelled and simulated, but only few protocols are implemented in real hardware sensor motes for a test-bed experimentation. This work focuses on a real time Hierarchical routing Protocol Implementation, which is an enhancement to the existing Level-Based Routing (LBR) Protocol available in the SENSEnuts mote Protocol stack.This enhanced algorithm achieves high packet delivery ratio without compromising the energy efficiency in a scalable multihop scenario. Real time results are found to show a significant improvement in the packet delivery ratio compared to the existing LBR.
