Transformer for Distributed Photovoltaic (DPV) Generation

The demand for Distributed Photovoltaic (DPV) generation is increasing due to its benefits of supplying Electric Power without carbon emission, lower cost and associated benefits. The DPV generation requires inverter fed transformers for grid connection. This paper gives the special technical features of the transformer for this application, design considerations, and the various design options. Designed parameters and test results of a transformer manufactured for DPV application are also presented.
