Real-time Simulation of No-load Grid-connection Based on dSPACE Doubly-Fed Wind Power Generation System

As a flexible grid-connection method, idle-load grid-connection is widely used in AC excitation variable speed constant frequency (VSCF) wind power generation systems with Doubly-Fed Induction Generator (DFIG). In this paper, the idle-load grid-connection control strategy of the VSCF doubly-fed wind turbine is designed. Under the condition of open circuit on the stator side, the rotor exciting current is adjusted to realize VSCF at the stator side while decoupling the output active power and reactive power. Finally, a semi-physical real-time simulation platform of doubly-fed wind power generation system based on dSPACE is established. As a result, there was no inrush current at the time of grid-connection, which verified the correctness of the control strategy, at the same time, accuracy and real-time of the control system were proved.
