Numerical analysis of blowing and suction about two-dimensional airfoil

The Flapless Air Vehicle is a major direction for the development of unmanned systems in the future due to its simple structure and convenient operation. In this paper, the characteristics of the Flapless Air Vehicle are introduced and the features of Fluidic Control technology are also presented. For future design of Flapless Air Vehicle, this paper makes some simulation analysis on the Fluidic Control technology's blowing and suction control scheme. Different types of air blowing and suction are analyzed and the influence of different positions and different flow rates on the lift and drag coefficient of the wing are presented. The results of the simulation show that the selection of suitable blowing and suction conditions on the wing can increase the lift and reduce the drag. By simple blowing and suction control, the aircraft can achieve self-generated flight control. All of these calculations will be helpful in the design of a flapless aircraft.
