A 2–6 GHz Fully Integrated Switched Filter Bank for Multiband Wireless Communication Applications

In this paper, a 2–6 GHz fully integrated switched filter bank (SFB) with four channels is developed for multi-band wireless communication applications. The proposed SFB, which consists of two single-pole four-throw switches, a band-pass filter bank, and a 2–4 decoder, has been designed and implemented in a
$0.15\ \ \mu \mathrm{m}$
GaAs p-HEMT process. The fabricated prototype achieves a minimum insertion loss of 3.5/3.87/3.56/3.78 dB for channel 1/2/3/4, respectively. At the half of the high corner frequency and the twice of the low corner frequency of the passband for each channel, the measured rejections are 30.3 & 30.1 dB for channel 1, 40.2 & 53.3 dB for channel 2, 31.4 & 42.9 dB for channel 3, and 43.6 & 39.3 dB for channel 4, respectively.
