Wideband Coupler Based on Wide-Wall Coupling Half-Mode Ridge Substrate Integrated Waveguide

A wideband coupler based on half-mode ridge substrate integrated waveguide (HMRSIW) in Ku-band is designed in this paper. The coupler utilizes a gradual slot on wide-wall to couple. The measured coupling bandwidth is 49.8%. The return loss and isolation are better than 20dB from 11.76GHz to 17.88GHz.
