Optimization and Analysis of Stand-alone Hybrid Renewable Energy System (SHRES)

Any community needs a more green, reliable, efficient source of energy in a growing world. To obtain continuous power supply one has to design such type of system. This paper proposes optimal sizing, designing and analysis of stand-alone hybrid renewable energy system (SHRES) so that people get cleaner, greener, reliable and more resilient system. The Particle swarm optimization is used to obtain the optimum configuration of the system. The paper also incorporates sensitivity analysis and penetration of renewable energy to understand the impact of solar, wind, battery and diesel on the optimum result. The analysis also determines the loss probability of power supply (LPSP) and renewable factor (RF) value by changing the parameters of solar, wind, diesel and battery. The result also given motivation for using the renewable energy as it minimizes carbon footprints and harmful pollutants in the environment.
