Comparison of Cost-effectiveness of Phototherapeutic Devices for Neonates

The aim of this study is to compare the cost-effectiveness of the treatment of neonatal jaundice using a tube and LED sources of radiation. Data for economic comparison was taken from manufacturers, from publicly available sources. The average price of a tubular device is about 48 000 CZK, LED device price is 73 500 CZK. When calculating the power consumption and other operating costs, the LED devices are about 56 % more cost-saving per year.
