The Possible Biorelevance of Alcohol Consumption in some Gastrointestinal IBS-Like Symptoms - Correlative Studies Based on Surveying

In this correlative study, we are proposing to discuss the bio relevance of alcohol drinking in gastrointestinal irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) - like symptoms. Thus, our data, based on the effect of alcohol drinking on gastrointestinal habits (e.g. IBS-like alterations) in stressful conditions, are showing that drinking could be an additional risk factor which could play a cumulative role in IBS symptoms occurrence. In this way, its bio relevance could contribute to novel surveying techniques that may find and alert the users of its effects in IBS development and therefore showing a promising perspective in preventive medicine. This could further result in a novel computational tool which could be used both in diagnosis, prevalence, evaluation and prevention of IBS, depending on the target population.
