Imaging and Clinical Features of Intrahepatic Biliary Cystadenocarcinoma

Objective: To investigate the computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and clinical features of intrahepatic biliary cystadenocarcinoma. Methods: The imaging and clinical data of two patients with intrahepatic biliary cystadenocarcinoma confirmed by pathology were retrospectively analyzed. CT and MRI examinations were performed in all patients. Results: The main complaint was upper abdominal discomfort. The lesion grows actively, which usually gets bigger in a short time. The lesion showed a solitary mass in the liver, with irregular shapes and clear boundaries. The lesion was mainly cystic, usually with solid nodules. MRI showed that the cystic part showed low signal on T1WI, high signal on T2WI, high signal on DWIBS, and without enhancement. The solid part shows a slightly higher signal, and the dispersion is slightly limited, and the enhancement can be seen. Conclusion: The combination of imaging and clinical features is helpful for the diagnosis of intrahepatic biliary cystadenocarcinoma.
