The 5G MAC-protocol Simulation for Downlink Scheduler Efficiency Investigation

This paper is aimed to investigate the efficiency of different 5G networks scheduler approaches with different radio interface configuration parameters. The Zero Forcing (ZF) and Minimum mean square error (MMSE) detection algorithms for multiple input multiple output (MIMO) spatial multiplexing based on experimental analytical MIMO channel modeling and various air interface configurations are taken into consideration. The results illustrate the characteristics of cell data rate and packet delay versus number of actively scheduled user devices and channel conditions in terms of signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) and reflects the possibilities for network performance improvement.
