Implementation of An Adaptive Voltage Maximum Power Point Tracking Method on A Solar LED DC-DC Converter for DC Microgrid System

The implementation of an adaptive voltage maximum power point tracking (MPPT) method on a Zeta DC-DC converter for solar LED street lighting system is presented in this paper. This method uses only voltage as the input. Therefore, the system can be implemented with less complexity and cost. Moreover, this method effectively improves both transient and steady state. The results show that the time to achieve a steady state is around 0. 05s. At steady state, the MPPT efficiency reaches 99.8 %, and the oscillation is about 0.01 %.
