Implementation of Robust Controller for VSI Feeding Stand-alone Loads

This paper presents a robust controller for a three-phase voltage source inverter (VSI) supplying standalone loads. Robust controller is to extract modulating voltage signals. According to the modulating signals this VSI deliver power to the consumer at regulated output voltage and frequency during change in load demand. This controller is also provides less harmonics distortion of voltage for balanced, unbalanced, linear and non-linear loads. Proposed control is simple in structure and not need of any PI controller therefore both steady state and dynamic responses are improved. To ensure a fast dynamic response an induction motor as a dynamic load is used. The feasibility of proposed control scheme has been verified by real time implementation in laboratory using dSPACE@ 1104 control board under different load conditions.
