Calculation of Parameters Asynchronous Generator with Stator Winding Connected in the Star-Delta

In recent years, the scale of intensification of agricultural production has expanded, new electrotechnological installations and means of electromechanization have appeared, which creates the prerequisites for the successful electrification of mobile plant growing processes and the creation of decentralized power supply electrical units. The use of asynchronous generators for autonomous power supply is constrained by an insufficient degree of voltage and frequency stabilization. In this regard, there is a need to create new stator windings for generating different output voltages, current frequencies, and other functional properties. The use of serial windings of induction motors has several drawbacks when using the machine in the generator mode, since it is designed for EMF in the motor mode and leads to an increase in the required capacitance of the field capacitors. The use of autotransformer stator windings in an asynchronous generator allows us to connect the capacitors to a higher voltage, which will reduce the capacity needed to excite the generator. In a generator with such a stator winding circuit, it is possible to make a switch according to the scheme of an autotransformer star (or a double star) into the star-delta scheme, which will lead to a decrease in the starting current of asynchronous electric motors connected to the generator. This method is well applicable for starting electric drives with increasing moment of resistance according to the square law.
