Study of the Elementary School Students' Attention Functioning on the Basis of the Brain-Computer Interface

Special neurophysiological research with the aim of accumulating data on the patterns of attention functioning allows to develop and offer for the teachers techniques for managing students' cognitive activity. It becomes possible by real time research of brain activity in the process of solving educational tasks. Relevance of the developments is conditioned by the need in search of ways to build individualized trajectories of students taking into account objective features. Now the definition of starting positions is based on the processing of a large testing data volume. Such technologies are cumbersome, and their objectivity is often questionable. In our study we propose to use electroencephalographic data obtained through the brain-computer interface as an objective basis for the start. The article presents the psychological and pedagogical basis of the experiment on the use of brain-computer interfaces in a teacher's work. This development allows a teacher to determine the main characteristics of attention.
