Research on electromagnetic force for a self-adaptive passive flux-weakening PMSM

A self-adaptive passive flux-weakening permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) was proposed. The flux weakening principle is introduced. The electromagnetic force on the magnetic conductor is analyzed. The effect of motor parameters on the electromagnetic force is calculated. The results by finite element method(FEM) verify the availability of the motor for wide flux weakening operation range and the electromagnetic force on the magnetic conductor meets the demand of flux weakening.
