Integrated Early Warning System for Assisting Navigation of Inland Vessels

In view of the problems of rendezvous, transcendence, and collision that ships may face in inland navigation, this paper proposes a comprehensive early warning system for assisting inland navigation. The system adopts the advanced SSD algorithm to achieve the target detection on the inland channel and obtain the static data and dynamic data between the ships through the AIS, VDR and ECDIS currently installed on the ship, and combine them to achieve the nearby water environment and real-time tracking of ships. The system can visually display the results of the detection and tracking in the AR mode on the screen of the control room of the ship, and perform real-time classification and early warning according to the severity of the accident that may occur, so that the driver on board can take different countermeasures to achieve collision avoidance and enhance the safety of ship navigation.
