Modeling Power/ground Planes with Signal Via Based on Resonant Cavity Method

In this paper, a modeling method based on the resonant cavity model is presented to characterize the power/ground plane with via arrays. By incorporating the numerical method together with the segmentation and the mode-decoupling method, respectively, it can also be applied to the irregular and multilayer power/ground planes. Simulation results show that this method has a good accuracy.
