Generalized Average Model of Triple Active Bridge Converter

Full-order continuous-time generalized average modelling and dynamic response of bi-directional triple active bridge converter are studied. The proposed modelling method is developed on the basis of the generalized averaging method. Unlike dual active bridge converters, triple active bridge converters include the transformer winding voltage in the state equations. The proposed modeling method develops the k

transformer terminal voltages, the k

impedance of each side, and the principle of superposition. The proposed modeling method uses the DC and first-order terms of the transformer winding current and capacitor voltage as the state variables. The control-to-output voltage frequency responses were obtained via experimentation. The experimental results confirm that the proposed model predicts the dynamic response accurately. Furthermore, the proposed method can predict the parasitic component effects with more accuracy.
