Design of circular patch antennas for 5G applications

The purpose of this study is to analyze the design of a circular patch antenna at 28 GHz band for 5G applications. Our objective is to design and simulate circular patch antenna using coaxial feed microstrip line feed and compare their performance. The antennas are designed using RT/Duroid 5880 substrate material. The performance of the coaxial feed circular antenna is better than the linefeed circular antenna. The bandwidth of the coaxial fed antenna is 0.792 GHz while the bandwidth of the microstrip line fed antenna is 0.660 GHz.
