PI and PR Current Controllers of Single Phase Grid Connected PV system : Analysis, Comparaison and Testing

This paper introduces a comparative study between tow current control systems the conventional proportional plus integral compensator (PI) and the proportional plus resonant compensator (PR). The controls design and analyses are done theoretically and through simulation. The performances of each control in term harmonic distortion are compared. The results show that PR compensator control provides faster control response and superior performance.
