Performance Evaluation Methods for VSD Control Systems Affected by Torsional Vibrations: Sensitivity and Energetic Analyses

This paper focuses on practical knowledge for system engineer about speed control of drive systems affected by torsional vibration. Different aspects are taken into account to Figure out the controller features/limitations, including a sensitivity and an energetic analyses. Both approaches have been detailed through a theoretical analysis and by means of simulation; in order to be used as qualitative tool for some easy site verifications.
