Comparative Analysis of Power Generation Systems for Renewable Energy Using Electric Energy Storage Devices

A comparative analysis of power generation and storage systems for renewable energy using electric energy storage devices was conducted. In this regard, three structures of power generation and storage systems based on a permanent magnet synchronous generator and accumulator battery for renewable energy were investigated and compared. Simulation models of a synchronous generator with permanent magnets and accumulator battery were developed, taking into account the influence of changes in ambient temperature and aging effects. Comparison of the systems was performed on the basic energy characteristics of the input AC-DC converters, output DC-AC converters, and the quality of the generated electric energy was assessed when changing the rotation speed of the generator and state of accumulator battery charge.
