Multi-bit Quantizer Delta-Sigma Modulator with the Feedback DAC Mismatch Error Shaping

This paper presents a multi-bit Quantizer Delta-Sigma Modulator (ΔΣM) while feedback Digital to Analog Converter (DAC) mismatch error is shaped with the same order as quantization error. Mismatch error shaping of the multi-bit feedback DAC allows having a multi-bit Quantizer resulting in a high resolution low Over Sampling Ratio (OSR) ΔΣM. order modulators show this idea is similar to the conventional one unless it has achieved DAC mismatch shaping just as Quantization error shaping. The comparison to Dynamic Element Matching (DEM) dedicates the benefits of this work over DEM techniques.
