Design of Ku Band Image Coupled Power Synthesis Circuit

In order to meet the special demands of modern electronic countermeasure system, this paper designs an ultra-wideband power amplifier unit covering Ku-band by using a pair of image Lange Bridge and two high power amplifier chips. The main function is to realize different power outputs by changing various input ports, so as to realize the system requirement of two-way signal timesharing work. Compared with the Wilkinson power synthesis circuit, this method not only avoids the power and reliability of high power switch, but also uses the small power switch to realize the free output of two high power signals. The measured results show that the output power of the amplifier unit is about 13W, the synthesis efficiency is close to 75%, which lays the foundation for the realization of the higher power in the whole frequency band.
