Substrate Integrated Waveguide (SIW) Leaky-Wave Antenna With Sinusoidally Modulated Transverse Slots

Substrate integrated waveguide (SIW) leaky wave antenna is studied with sinusoidally varying width of the transverse slots. Width of the transverse slots is changed by a modulation factor to obtain the modulated reactive surface. As a result, beam-direction and beamwidth can be independently controlled by phase and attenuation constants respectively of the leaky-wave antenna.
