Consideration of Future Broadcast Waveforms LTE FeMBMS and DVB-SH for Passive Radar

Several countries discuss about switching off the established broadcasts like FM and DVB-T. Thus, it is necessary to think about future waveforms, which could replace these transmitters of opportunity for passive radar. In this paper two candidates (DVB-SH and LTE-FeMBMS) are discussed for passive radar usage with focus on air surveillance.
