Smart Car plate Recognition System

Smart car plate recognition System is addressed in this study. In particular, a graphical user interface using Matlab programming is used to recognize plates' numbers in order to deny or permit access to cars. The proposed interface acts as a first phase of a project to transform the main entrance of the facility to a fully automated car entrance control system by reducing the level of manned guarding at the main access points. This phase includes building a database of plates' numbers, creating the main processing interface, and simulate the controller as human aid system where a graphical user interface is used for processing and controlling car's entrance.
