An Improved Soft Switched Boost Power Converter Suitable for Power Factor Correction

The paper makes an impact that the improved soft switched boost converter with an auxiliary circuit is proposed for power factor correction, reduction of switching and conduction power losses from the light load to full load condition. The robust modeling, steady state analysis, design guidelines and uniqueness of the converter are fully established for the wider performance and power quality improvements. The notional predictions of the prototype are highly closed agreement by the software simulation results with a proverbial platform and PWM control technique.
