Flexible Data Acquisition System for Aerodynamics Applications

Aerodynamics Data Acquisition System (ADAS) acquires analog data from the sensors and converts it into digital signals by performing different operations such as signal conditioning, amplification, and digital conversion. With the increase in a number of processing cores, a shift from sequential to parallel ADAS has been observed recently. Therefore, in this work, we have proposed and developed a Flexible Aerodynamics Data Acquisition System (FADAS). The FADAS system aims to achieve the considerable increase in the performance, scalability, and programmability. To validate the performance of the FADAS we integrate it with Angle of Attack, Pressure Transducer Unit and environmental control system of aircraft and interfaced with of single board computers using parallel programming models.
