Economic Importance of Automation of Transport Infrastructure Design

The article, based on the specifics of the transport infrastructure, justifies the requirements for its design. It is noted that in order to find the preferred design solutions, it is necessary to have a variant technical and economic modeling that takes into account both economic parameters and the level of safety, noise, vibrations and other technical aspects. Attention is drawn to the importance of aesthetic design of transport infrastructure, primarily those related to passenger service. It is concluded that a wide range of requirements for transport infrastructure facilities can be realized only on the basis of modern CAD systems. On the basis of the analysis of the effects of the application of digital technologies in various areas of transport activity, an informed assumption was made about the significant efficiency of a full transition to BIM-technology in the design of transport infrastructure.
