An Intelligent Control Strategy for Iron Ore Sintering Ignition Process Based on the Prediction of Ignition Temperature

The sintering ignition is an important step in the sintering process and is the starting point of the entire combustion process. It is of great economic value and scientific value to stabilize the sintering ignition temperature in the case of the unstable gas pressure. An intelligent control strategy is proposed for the iron ore sintering ignition process based on the prediction of ignition temperature in this paper. First, the ignition temperature prediction model is established by the combination of the mechanism analysis method and the data-driven method. Then, the control mode is determined by the actual operation experience, and the intelligent controller for the ignition temperature is designed to obtain the required gas flow, which is stabilized by the gas flow controller. Finally, with a case-matching method applied, the experiment of the intelligent control strategy is carried out based on the data collected from practical processes. The experimental results show that the proposed control strategy is good at controlling ignition temperature under the situation of the unstable gas pressure and has good application perspective.
