Thermal Simulation Analysis of Temperature Distribution Characteristics in 220kV GIS

This paper mainly focuses on the temperature distribution characteristics of 220kV GIS by simulation. Considering various conditions such as eddy current loss, SF
₆
gas convection heat transfer and working current, the model of GIS is built in COMSOL Multiphysics to simulate temperature field distribution of different parts in GIS, including isolation switch, conductor, enclosure and insulator. Temperature figure results are provided. Beyond that, the influences of environmental factors are also simulated, including ambient temperature, wind speed and solar radiation. The results show the numerical relation between conductor temperature and enclosure temperature, and provide reference value for engineering application.
