Hybrid PI and Backstepping Controller Design of The LC-Type Three-phase Inverter

In LC-Type three-phase inverter systems, the sole linear or nonlinear control is difficult to consider the controller design and characteristics simultaneously. Therefore, a hybrid controller based on proportion integration(PI) and backstepping approach is proposed for the LC-Type three-phase inverter. By analyzing the different control requirements of the active and reactive power control loop in steady and transient states, the active power loop is recommended to adopt the backstepping control based on the reverse steps to complete the controller design and introduce the Lyapunov stability theory to ensure the large signal stability. The PI control is utilized in the reactive power control loop to minimize the complexity of design controller. Finally, the experimental results further verify the superiority of the designed controller over the conventional PI controller.
