Influence of Lossy Objects for Resonator-Coupled Type Wireless Power Transfer System with Coplanar Dual-Spiral Resonators

High performance resonator-coupled type wireless power transfer (RC-WPT) system has been examined in this paper. Up to now, study on improvement of the conventional RC-WPT system using simple spiral resonators has been carried out in our laboratory. However, when objects consist of dielectric and the conductive loss through the power transmission path, the power transmission efficiency will be decayed. To improve this defect, we have proposed the coplanar dual-spiral resonator. And it has been presented that, by using the coplanar dual-spiral resonators for the resonators of RC-WPT system, the decay of transmission efficiency due to lossy objects can be recovered.
