I. Introduction
In modern indusmalized drives, a multi-phase induction machine is used for high reliability instead of conventional three-phase induction machine [1], [2]. The main complexity in controlling the induction machine lies in the non-linearity of the model and the existence of a complex coupling between the field and the torque. Many researchers have dealt with the vector control of conventional AC machines [1]. This control technique was designed in the early 1970 s to achieve an induction machine behavior similar to that of DC machines, where torque and flux can be independently controlled by two control inputs [3].
