Synchrophsor Estimation Based on The Combination of The Modulated Sliding DFT and Taylor’s Series Expansion

In this paper, a new synchrophasor estimation algorithm is designed to meet the accuracy requirements of the IEEE Std C37.118.1

-2014. This estimator is constructed by incorporating the Modulated Sliding Discrete Fourier Transform MSDFT in the four and six-parameter models of the complex Taylor expansion. The proposed algorithm is found to be accurate with less computational workload than the traditional one (based on Discrete Fourier Transform, DFT) under steady state and dynamic conditions.
